The Red Rubber Ball Company was established when professional coaches Neil Kirby and Steve Williams met and realised they had the same passions and shared common goals and aspirations - about business and the way they live their lives. 
 
Merging successful careers in business, with years of experience, expertise and qualifications in coaching and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and with a desire to run a business which allows time for their families and other adventures, we believe they have the ideal credentials to deliver the results you want.

Social entrepreneurs 
 
In 2010, we established our own registered charity, The Red Rubber Ball Foundation, with the sole objective “to help young and disadvantaged people develop their capabilities so that they may make the most of their abilities and make a full contribution to society.”  
 
We are always working on exciting philanthropic projects to especially to improve the education prospects of young people in the UK and Africa.

We are often asked this. Our name derives from the work and ethos of Kevin Carroll, a US-based best-selling author and international advocate on social change.  
 
Kevin, his amazing story and his work have proved an inspiration to us. 
 
The Red Rubber Ball is a metaphor for our hopes and dreams, goals and aspirations. It’s what we chase in life. As Richard Branson says, "If you can indulge in your passion, life will be far more interesting than if you're just working". 
 
We will help you find yours and encourage you as you chase it - you might achieve more than you think possible. 
Founding Partners 
Neil Kirby 
Neil has coached over 500 business people since becoming a professional coach in 1999. He is a member of the Association for Coaching and also the Institute of Personnel 
Development and holds a Distinction from the Institute of Human Development.  
 
He is a certified trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Time-Line Therapy. Prior to becoming a professional coach, Neil gained a Honours degree in Economics at Manchester University and went on to qualify as an accountant. He has worked abroad extensively, primarily in West Africa and was responsible for clients like Shell and Guinness and for Government and World Bank projects.  
 
Neil loves sport and the outdoor life. A former county hockey player at school, Neil is a passionate follower of Hull City and takes his family to see them whenever possible. A keen traveller, Neil loves skiing and scuba-diving and has many stories from his journeys around the world. He is currently planning to climb Mont Blanc next summer with his wife.  
 
 
His philosophy? Everyone has it in them to succeed at what they do.  
 
Steve Williams 
Steve has led, managed and coached over 250 employees in his professional career to date. He is a NLP Master Practitioner and a member of the prestigious ICF. 
He has a Honours degree in Business Studies from the University of Portsmouth. Steve sold over 7 million telephones to BT whilst working for Nortel Networks and played a key role as Orange’s Sales and Trade Marketing Manager in attracting 11 million customers. He presided over the sale of more than £500m of prepaid mobile phone top-ups whilst Commercial Director of Project Telecom and led a direct sales-force at Vodafone. Most recently he served the nation’s dreams driving Camelot’s retail revenues to over £4.4bn and 5 consecutive years of growth as well as winning the 3rd Licence. 
 
Also a lover of all things sport and travel, Steve is an avid West Ham United fan and has convinced his children to be the same. He is passionate about Italy and dreams of a future life there for both himself and his wife.

Lisa Martinelli 
Lisa makes sure we remain organised and that stuff gets done on time – crucial when there’s lots to do. Lisa deals with all our admin so can resolve most of your general or logistics queries. Lisa is another keen traveller and scuba diver, even being a certified rescue diver?!
